One such newcomer in HDTV world is 46-Inch Samsung UN46F8000. It is a 3D Ultra Slim LED HDTV with 240 Hz refresh rate, providing newest technology in thinner package.

With a new slimmer design and full 1080p resolution, the new Samsung UN46F8000, along with the entire product line of the new F8000 series is set to take the HDTV market by storm. This new model features a 240Hz refresh rate and 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as built-in Wi-Fi, making the unit fully internet-ready. This will allow users to take advantage of multimedia websites with streaming videos and movies such as Hulu, YouTube and Netflix, to name a few.
The UN46F8000 features some new and exciting features. It is latest version of Smart Interaction Technology from Samsung. It includes voice interactivity and an exciting gesture control feature. Both of these features work together seamlessly to make the user experience far more engaging than with previous Samsung models.
If voice interactivity and gesture control were not enough, another extremely impressive feature has been included – facial recognition technology. The UN46F8000 uses the built-in camera at the top of the TV frame to take advantage of this.. Users can simply log into their accounts and access apps and programs without having to enter any login details, as the camera recognizes unique facial features and is integrated with password security software for the unit.
This model also feature access to the new Samsung’s app store, which is the first app store for televisions in the entire world. The store already has thousands of apps available and will likely be growing in size exponentially in the coming years.
It has Smart Evolution Port which allows you to update your Smart TV in the future and equipped with Quad Core Processor.
The picture quality on this TV is fantastic especially after a few color tweaks. It is crispier, brighter and glitch free. The blacks are so DEEP compared to other TVs. There is a SMALL amount of flash lighting in all four corners. The black lighting is noticeable with something like movie title in middle of screen and black on rest of screen. Unless you are really looking for it in a black screen and concentrated on a corner you will not notice it.
The most appealing aspects of this model is the fluid access to Samsung's TV App Store. Samsung has partnered with Electronic Arts to help take its App Store to a whole new level. Without a doubt, Samsung App Store leaves potential for new and exciting applications and games virtually uncapped.
Another thing that we liked about the UN46F8000 was the ease of use of the voice navigation controls. We could literally state the name of the TV show or actor's name and content matching the query would show up on the screen. Samsung has obviously invested in research to make this technology work without the usual hiccups that accompany voice recognition technology.
The gesture controls are taking interactive TV watching to a new level, however there are still a few kinks that need to be worked out here. In other words, it doesn't always work on the first try and can take a little while to get the hang of. This could all be designed to be a bit more intuitive for users in general.
